Facilities Faculty Club

The Faculty Club has been a landmark on the university landscape since its establishment in 1998. Located within the renovated Academy Building at Rapenburg 73 since 2009, it offers brand new facilities in a traditional environment.

Restaurant

The restaurant is suitable for receptions, buffets, or private dinners. However, you can also enjoy lunch or dinner in an historic setting. Enjoy a relaxing drink at the bar. With doors that open onto the courtyard garden, this space is particularly pleasant for hosting events, parties or working lunches during the summer months.

Brasserie

The brasserie is a meeting place for the university’s civitas. This small, congenial setting with bar is perfect for informal get-togethers. You can enjoy à la carte lunches and dinners in the brasserie with views over the courtyard garden. Our menu consists of various changing dishes. The Brasserie offers open access.

Dining Room

The dining room is ideal for smaller groups that require privacy. This ambient room has seating and doors that open onto the courtyard garden. A large table seats 14 persons. We would be delighted to serve your choice from our changing menu, or to compile a tailor made menu.

Meeting Rooms

The Faculty Club offers various meeting spaces. Staff can hold meetings here in comfort. These rooms can also serve as reception spaces or drinks areas. The rooms are similar in character to the Academy Building. In the curator‘s room, a classic oval table offers seating to about 14 persons.

Courtyard garden and terrace

The pretty walled courtyard garden, an oasis of peace, is a delightful place to relax. During the summer months especially, you can enjoy sunshine well into the evening. The garden is directly accessible from the brasserie, restaurant and dining room, but you can also use the courtyard garden on its own for receptions or other celebratory occasions. The terrace borders on the Hortus botanicus garden.
